Rose Parade vs Silver Tape

The latest saga over the city should allow citizens to go down there days before the event and gain "squatters rights" and be allowed to mark their territory with silver tape should go on. For this is the American way and the conservative approach to the situation. But this will only be governed by the local authorities as another money making or tax scheme.

Now this agency can use these places to turn around and try and sell these spots to the higher bidder. We at the Reporting-Ethics Republicans do not see any problems with this policy. Sure the technically do not "own" these spots, but during this annual event, these entrepreneurs are just attempting to make a quick buck of leasing out real estate that is technically owned by the city.

At least not they do have the rights to this piece of real estate and the proceeds can then be directed towards the non-profit of an adhoc committee's choosing. In the long run every one comes out ahead.
